Precious Gems & Metals was founded in 1979. We’ve been serving customers from our home office in Wabash, Indiana and throughout the country for 40 years. We hold regular buying events in California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Meet the Owner
My name is Stan Walter and I’m from Wabash, Indiana. After I graduated from college and served with the U.S. Army in Korea, I became an expert in the gold, silver and coin industries. I’ve been active in my community serving as a city councilman, a member of the Rotary Club and as a Deacon at my church.

Sean has been a professional buyer for 30 years. Interest in coins began at the ripe old age of 6 when his grandpa gave him his first half dollar.
His interest bloomed into all types of precious metals, jewelry, rarities and coins. Sean joined the PGM team in 2008. A year later he accepted the position as National Sales Manager.
In 2015 Mr. Walter made Sean a partner in the business, and to this day Stan and Sean work closely together.
When not working, Sean enjoys his family, chasing the grandchildren and collecting/restoring vintage motorcycles.
As a child growing up in Cincinnati, OH, Dave was an avid coin collector. Those years of learning about collecting coins made him a perfect fit to join the PGM team in 2015. He's always been interested in antiques and has a broad knowledge base of the vintage collectibles market with expertise in pocket watches and timepieces.
Dave lives in the Finger Lakes Region of New York. You can find him at Precious Gems & Metals events throughout much of the eastern part of the U.S. In his free time Dave enjoys classic cars, especially vintage European marques.
Makayla is the newest edition to the PGM Team, 3 years strong! Growing up she always found herself in her grandmother's jewelry boxes along with her grandfather's old coins. This led her into the perfect profession.
Over Makayla's time with PGM, working closely with our team, she has managed to expand her knowledge across all fields of PGM's business with a focus on diamonds and jewelry.
Makayla is a San Diego native and works with PGM customers throughout California. In her free time she enjoys trying new restaurants. She especially loves desserts and is a big foodie!

For four decades, Brandon has been deeply immersed in the world of business, thanks to his father, Stan. It was Stan's unique habit of bringing home rare coins and unparalleled antiquities that ignited Brandon's passion.
Today, Brandon calls Asheville, NC his home. You can find him at Precious Gems & Metals events throughout much of the eastern and southern part of the U.S.
When he's not engrossed in the world of collectibles, Brandon has a penchant for penning screenplays and restoring classic arcade machines. But above all, he cherishes the moments spent with his family.
